Untitled Post

Last night my mother pretended to watch Seven Brides for Seven Brothers with me. She laughed at all the appropriate moments. I really appreciated that. I only got about halfway through before I decided it was time to go to be. Needles to say, all day long I'll be singing Bless your Beautiful Hide, Goin Courtin , and Sobbin Women.

Last night I dreamed that I had adopted a baby and then I forgot her in the car when I went to church. Then when I did remember, I couldn't find my car. I was so scared that something would happen to her. Finally, I found the car and she wasn't crying or anything but her hands and face were cold. I wrapped her up and held her close till I woke up.

That would be everything I had to share this morning.

And now a quote from Milly, " Goin courtin, goin courtin, it will set your senses in a whirl!"

"Pretty and trim but not too slim
Heavenly eyes, and just the right size
Simple and sweet - and sassy as can be
Bless her beautiful hide
Yes, she's the girl for me"

I haven't had the pleasure of watching that movie yet, but maybe I'll rent it. I'm glad to hear that you and your mom are getting closer. It's really a pleasure to sit down as a family and watch a movie. I haven't done that in a very long time . . .too long really, but maybe soon.
Anyhow, I hope your day is going great and that tomorrow is even better. I know that mine is.

Speaking of kids:
I've always imagined having two children of my own and then adopting a couple more. I grew up in a family with just two and the age difference is large. And, I really wouldn't want that in my own family. I would like my children to be about 2 years apart. . . yeah they'll fight, but they will appreciate each other a lot more in the future.
I think between three and five kids would be the perfect amount. But, I would have to have a lot of money to support such a large family. I grew up poor and I would hate to put kind of burden on the next generation.

First: I love watching movies with my family. Its funny how you can love and hate the same people so much.

Second: I also want to adopt a couple children, hopefully from China.

Third: I have a younger brother and an older half brother, and the age difference is small. James is 23, I'm 19, and Chris will soon be 16.

Fourth: Poor is something Im definately familiar with. I have a determination to make sure my children never know poverty.
